In preparation for my, long-awaited, new kitchen I am pleased to say that Marek Zima /MZ Building Service listened carefully to my requirements taking into account the particular problems inherent in an old property. He offered specific advice as to the best arrangement for each item in order to obtain the most efficient use of space. He also made helpful suggestions as to finishing touches and accessories.

I would recommend Marek Zima/MZ Building Service for building work. The job he did for us was to rebuild a severely bulging chimney breast wall in the loft space, which was four floors up plus a loft ladder so a hard-going job in terms of getting the appropriate equipment to where it was needed, to remove the debris and to work in a small enclosed space under dusty conditions. He and his colleagues had a great attitude and their work ethic was impressive, I'm not sure if they even stopped for lunch and I had to remind myself to make them drinks as it was easy to forget they were there!

Marek is a reliable and tidy worker. He always came when he said he would and made every effort to minimise the dust in the rest of the house whilst they were working by taping up all chimneys, by keeping doors closed, by taping up the bags of rubble before carrying them downstairs, removing work shoes when necessary, he also provided stair carpet protection sheets for all the stairs to the exit and removed all rubbish from site (including a dead pigeon found inside the chimney!).

Marek was very knowledgable about what was required, setting up appropriate supports for the ceiling on the floor below and coming up with a solution when they hit a problem with the inside of the chimney. He also was dedicated to finishing the job before starting his new one so arranged for extra resources on extra days to get it done when the unforeseen problem with the inside of the chimney slowed them down.

He responds promptly to emails and texts. Marek gave me confidence that he wanted to do a good job in the way he approaches his work, for example, he took me up on my offer of coming to see the job again before we agreed to proceed and he didn't rush it, even though it meant working extra days on site, this has given me peace of mind that what he's done is now safe and I can relax and enjoy living in the house below it!

I would have no hesitation in recommending him and would use MZ Building Service again myself.
